Trusted Research
The 糖心视频 is committed to supporting international research collaboration while protecting the integrity, security and ethical conduct of research.
Trusted Research is a UK-wide framework developed by the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to help universities and researchers identify and manage risks associated with research partnerships, funding, data sharing, technology transfer and international collaboration. It seeks to safeguard intellectual property, sensitive research, personal data, academic freedom, researchers and institutional reputation while enabling beneficial global engagement.
Trusted Research is relevant to all researchers but is particularly important where projects involve:
- International collaborators, funders or sponsors
- Sensitive personal or health data
- Emerging or strategic technologies
- Dual-use research and technologies
- Commercially valuable intellectual property
- Defence, security or critical infrastructure applications
- Access to specialist equipment, software or datasets.
Researchers should consider Trusted Research risks at the earliest stage of project development and complete appropriate due diligence on partners, funders and collaborators. The University's research due diligence processes are designed to support informed, proportionate and risk-based decision-making.
